Week 31
...Continued
An unsatisfied craving becomes an obsession. I knew that Moon wouldn't just forget about it, so I began devising a plan to get us back to Chicago for a meal.
Conveniently, I had a dentist appointment in Joliet on Friday. This gave me the perfect opportunity to visit with my sister and her boyfriend (who had come in from Denmark the night before), go out to eat, and pick up all the shower stuff that couldn't fit in the car last week.
The first order of business was to find this damn phantom restaurant. I had nothing to go on....but wait! We went there for Moons birthday, so I must have pictures, right? Moon and I sat at the computer and discovered 2 such pictures. Neither gave any immediate clue to the name of the restaurant. I told Moon that we could zoom in on the tables to see if any clues existed (CSI theme music playing in my head). She suggested zooming in on the chopsticks, "they always have the name on those." +++ZOOM+++ Nope. I've never seen the restaurant name on the chopsticks......WAIT. There's something written on that plate. +++ZOOM+++. Moon shouts out "Cho Sun Ok". That's IT! Yeah! (CSI music still playing in the background).
After a nice visit to the dentist, we headed to Cho Sun Ok and met Marcey and Fleming there. The food was ok, but it's never as good as you imagine, is it? At least we were able to introduce both Marcey and Fleming to Korean food. I'm not sure how it went over this time, but they didn't excuse themselves to go to the bathroom immediately, so it couldn't have been that bad :)
We then went back to Northbrook to visit with Mom, Dad, Mindy, and Anika for a while. While we were there, I noticed a new box on our shower pile. Nobody had any clue who it was from, but I had an inkling. It was light and had a Florida address. It had to be Jan's blanket that she was crocheting.
I was right :) It is a beautiful baby blue blanket with a white trim. This picture doesn't do it justice because I had to use the photo editor to lighten it up a little.
After a brief visit with the family, we packed Sammy's new blankie and other wonderful gifts and headed back to Indy.
Next week, yet another OB visit and more charming tales.
